Flower of Life Counselling

I will meet you where you are at and guide you to find the light within.

Welcome to Flower of Life Counselling

We become whole as we gently heal by going inward and accepting all parts of ourselves, wounded, bruised, or praised.  As we learn to inquire, accept and integrate them with a loving heart, they make us a better version of ourselves.  I will walk with you to find that light which will guide you.

Flower of Life is a sacred geometry, believed to contain information about the secrets of all lives.

I draw from my training and experience in:

  • Strength-based therapy
  • Gestalt Therapy
  • Narrative Therapy
  • Positive Psychology
  • Mindfulness & Meditation
  • Bio-Energetics and Core-Energetics
  • Compassion Therapy
  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  • Energy Psychology
  • Biofeedback (Heart Rate Variability) and Psychophysiological Assessment

While they may guide me through the aspects of counselling, each session is unique and individualised for you and your needs.

I follow COVID-19 safety guidelines.  Your safety is of my utmost importance.  I offer online and telephone counselling service.

I will support you with:

“ There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”

William Shakespeare

What is worrying you?

  • I am going nowhere.
  • I am worthless and I hate who I am these days.
  • I am losing control. It feels scary.
  • I feel shame and would rather be alone.
  • No one understands what I am going through.
  • What is my purpose in life?
  • It is so dark around me. I hate it but feel I can’t change it.
"Kintsugi (golden joinery)"

Any variations of these thoughts are some of the common complaints that many of us have. You are not alone.

Counselling can help you provide clarity to work through these issues.
Please remember you are not your diagnosis nor your problems. The therapy offers a safe space and an opportunity to sit with the difficult events and emotions so that you can reclaim equilibrium. To work towards empowering yourself and to become who you want to be. It is a space for you to just be you, to unravel and to release.

“Kintsugi (golden joinery)” is a century-old art practised in Japan. It is a creation of a new form of beauty by joining the broken pottery pieces using sap lacquer dusted with gold (“kin” in Japanese) powders. The outcome is not only a revival of original art but also sprouting of a stronger, more sophisticated and beautiful life. I believe that it can be translated to us human beings. When we are able to accept our flaws and imperfections, we are more resilient. We also become much kinder to ourselves and those around us. Kintsugi is not about fixing what is broken. It is about creating a fuller and more expanded form of our life’s purposes.

How counselling may benefit you

The therapy space is where you can be truly yourself.

How many people around you actually let you be just you… not many, right?  We know that our families and friends have the best intentions to be there for us, but we are often left feeling alone during challenging times. After all, they have their personal challenges and agendas as we all do.

From your first contact, I am committed to being right beside you on your journey to becoming whole.  My therapy space is warm and compassionate.  The tools I use in my practice are; evidence-based psychotherapy strategies, holistic and creative tools,  trauma-informed as well as person-centred approach.

The space you step in is a reflective one.  Through the unique and dynamic relationship and the process of therapy, you will gain an awareness of who you truly are.  This awareness will guide you to nurture the inner child who is calling out to be heard and loved, and to feel empowered to create the future you desire.  You will cultivate hopes.

It is a space of exploration towards understanding, accepting and embracing YOU as a very unique being.

“ The privilege of a lifetime is being who you are..”

- Joseph Campbell

How can we work together?

Whether this is your first time seeking counselling or you have previous therapy experiences, I humbly welcome you.  It takes a lot of courage to seek help and to face what you are experiencing.  You have taken the first and the most difficult step to healing yourself.

You are central to how I work.  I will meet you where you are at and walk beside you as you embark on a journey to search your truths.  As a counsellor, I am honoured to work with you.

My approach is holistic, meaning I see you as a whole being; your body, mind and spirit.  I pay attention to the somatic experiences of the here-and-now and your underlying spiritual quest for life’s purposes.

I strongly feel towards social and cultural inclusion and non-judgemental practice.  I welcome clients from all walks of life.

I hope to see you!
